Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is when we keep having unwanted thoughts that pop into our minds about scary or distressing things – such as thoughts of harm, feeling dirty, or any thoughts we don't want to have. We call these ‚'obsessive thoughts'. We might also do things over and over to try and get rid of these thoughts – such as routines, or things we say in our mind. We call these ‚'compulsions'. The good news is that OCD can be treated and many people who seek help can get better.

I enjoyed learning about the complexities of OCD. The tools and strategies given were enlightening, and I liked how encouraging the course was, with the constant reminders to be persistent, realistic about progress, and not be so harsh on yourself.

Thank you for these fantastic courses. They have really helped me, especially having the stories and illustrations to look at. It's a great way to present the course if a person has learning difficulties. Also great that reminder emails are sent and so much encouragement is given.

Over the years, I have tried counsellors, but found this course way more helpful. I didn't feel so alone. Thank you very much, and a big shout out to the team who designed the course.

I really found the courses helpful, useful and beneficial, I have referred back to them to refresh my learnings and recap information. I also enjoy being able to assess my anxiety levels at an objective level with the questionnaires at the beginning of each course.
